About Søren Nielsen

I'm a seasoned entrepreneur within the fintech space. I'm highly driven by companies with a purpose like Subaio, which gives bank customers control of their subscriptions. A highly needed service as 60% have a subscription they rarely use or have forgotten all about. At Subaio I'm the CCO. So I'm basically in charge of the sales and marketing department, while I'm also a part of developing the overall strategy for the company. I take great pride in leading by example. And I believe in creating business models that fits with the company's why. Not the other way around. I'm also the CEO of ERNIT. A fintech which empowers children with essential lifelong skills by connecting an IoT piggy bank with a gamified banking app. I have been a part of building the company from scratch into an award winning educational fintech. I've lead remote teams, raised funds and partnered with numerous different banks. We've also done a succesful Kickstarter campaign and have been part of the World's most well-renowned fintech accelerator in the shape of Techstars. Before my fintech days I was an Editor in Chief at Denmark's biggest media about private finances. I thus believe in the power of using narratives to drive direction. Always challenging assumptions. Always getting the customer's feedback on a problem. And always using data to build, measure and learn. I'm impatient, but not a perfectionist. So don't expect me to waste my time on pseudo problems without a clear purpose.
