About Amy Yu

Amy Yu has over 15 years of experience in financial services spanning investment banking, prime brokerage and exchanges in both traditional banking and digital assets in Asia. She has extensive experience in digital assets capital markets, trading ecosystem and liquidity provision, and regional growth strategy. Her last decade has been spent in business builds and regional expansions of BitMEX Derivatives exchange and Genesis Trading, crypto industry pioneers and market giants in their respective businesses; and prior to her move into the digital assets space, with the APAC build of JP Morgan’s Prime Services. Amy Yu holds a degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Finance and Marketing, and a Minor in Asian Studies. Financial services executive with a client-first mindset and a diverse range of capabilities to adapt for dynamic and competitive markets and regulatory environments. Experienced across difficult-to-breach skillsets: traditional and digital assets; brokerage, prime services, investment and private banking, exchanges, and asset management; APAC vs US vs EMEA markets and corporate cultures; greenfield and established bulge bracket development; white glove service and automation driven efficiencies; and strong understanding of a wide breadth of client segments. Having worked through multiple ephemeral booms, to investigations and meltdowns from inside ecosystem epicenters, she focuses on building high integrity businesses in emerging markets and technologies while targeting opportunities with a clear risk-based approach.
