Ukrainians received 200 million UAH of humanitarian aid thanks to the technology of the Weld Money startup

The project made it possible to launch a product that Ukraine so desperately needs today.

Together with the charitable fund Unchain Fund and UNEX Bank, they created the world’s first cryptocurrency card to help Ukrainian women and children affected by the war — the UNCHAIN ​​Help Card. Cryptocurrency donations come to the card immediately in UAH in the equivalent of 25 euros per week per person. More than 20,000 people have already received assistance.

What is the essence of Weld Money technology?

Innovative architecture does not require prior replenishment of the card, and also avoids high blockchain fees due to free intra-exchange transfers.

At launch, the project raised $ 3.6 million from investment companies from around the world, including Concorde Capital(Ukraine), Magnus Capital, 7 O’Clock Capital, OIG, AU21, Kangaroo Capital, Skynet, Avalon Capital and others.

Currently, financial support for the UNCHAIN Help Card has been provided by the largest players in the cryptocurrency market: NEAR, Solana, Binance Smart Chain, Celo, Harmony, Polygon, Avalanche, Gnosis, Polkadot, IoTeX, Terra, Bitcoin, Moonbeam in various cryptocurrencies, as well as a personal donation from Vitalik Buterin (co-founder of Ethereum).
