TSB is recruiting 15 new Relationship Managers
TSB will be creating 15 new Relationship Manager roles to help support small businesses and entrepreneurs – on the ground in their local communities, delivering the kind of banking experience TSB believes small businesses want and deserve. The Bank is now hiring in Manchester, Birmingham, Leicester and Edinburgh – and this is just the start of things to come.
Britain’s challenger bank, TSB, is launching the future of local banking for businesses in 2018 – as the Bank gets set to take on the business banking market in the same way that TSB has already challenged consumer banking. Local communities need local businesses, and TSB will play a big part in making that happen.
There are 5.7 million small businesses in the UK that are the lifeblood of the UK economy. TSB believes that small businesses need a bank partner who wants to actively support them, with fresh thinking and new services – to help reinvigorate local communities and unlock the true potential of small businesses across the UK.
TSB is starting to put all the pieces in place to lead the charge in bringing more competition to the small business banking market in 2018. A multi-million pound investment programme is already underway to build new banking services for small businesses across the UK – led by TSB’s new Commercial Banking Director, Richard Davies. Today’s announcement comes hot off the heels of a further investment which TSB announced last month with its parent, Sabadell, where up to £100 million pounds of funding will be available to invest in small businesses and start-ups based in regions right across the UK.
TSB thinks it’s good to be different
Since launch, TSB has been focused on creating a different type of bank – with a diverse and inclusive culture; a culture that is inclusive of gender, race, disability, background, or education.
TSB’s small businesses customers come from a range of backgrounds and the Bank wants to reflect this diversity across its workforce. This requirement is front and centre when it comes to the recruitment of TSB’s new Relationship Managers. TSB is also committed to enabling its Partners to work flexibly – and full and part-time Relationship Manager opportunities will be available.
TSB has entered into a partnership with The Curve Group, one of the UK’s fastest growing recruitment and HR outsourcing companies, who will lead the attraction and selection of the Bank’s new Commercial Banking team.

TSB’s Commercial Banking Director, Richard Davies, says: “We have huge ambitions in the small business banking market and we’re on the cusp of making some real waves. The recruitment of TSB’s new Relationship Managers is a chance for people to get involved in something right from the offset – to help shape how small businesses are looked after right across the country.
“Small businesses need banking partners who want actively to support them, with fresh thinking and new services – to help reinvigorate local communities and unlock the true potential of small businesses in the UK.
“It’s great to be growing our commercial banking team at TSB, and I’m pleased we’re partnering with The Curve Group to deliver on our ambition of building a diverse and inclusive business bank that truly reflects the communities we serve.”
