Robinhood Introduces Legend in the UK

Today, Robinhood are taking a big step forward in that mission for customers in the UK with the launch of Robinhood Legend. It’s a fully customisable and powerful browser-based desktop trading platform that is elegantly designed specifically for active traders–and it’s available at no additional cost to anyone with a Robinhood account.

Their UK customers–many of whom keep a close eye on what Robinhood is doing in the US–have been eager for us to introduce Robinhood Legend to the UK. With more than 11M UK residents currently investing on a desktop platform, Robinhood regularly hear directly from customers who are interested in using Robinhood Legend in their daily trading. 

Their research indicates that trading from either a laptop or desktop computer is only slightly less common than trading on a mobile device in the UK. Robinhood’s data also revealed that only a third of desktop traders are content with their existing trading platform, with a lack of customisation and challenging navigation as the biggest pain points among those who aren’t. 

With Robinhood Legend, they set out to address many of these challenges. Robinhood reimagined what a modern, intuitively designed active trading platform should look like, building it from the ground up so customers can personalize their setup and get started in seconds. This is the next big evolution for Robinhood UK, giving active traders:   

• A personalized trading setup: Customers can get set up in seconds and organise their screen with the tools they need to trade their strategy. They can build their own custom layout or choose from a group of layout templates. Plus, they can link widgets to create synced groups, and can instantly update symbols across layouts and tabs, even across multiple monitors. 
• Access at no additional cost: Robinhood Legend is available for free to anyone with a Robinhood account. Customers can trade US stocks with no commissions or FX fees, trade options for just $0.50 per contract, get industry leading margin rates, and more. Other costs apply. 
• Ability to trade from anywhere: It’s easy for customers to enter and exit trades without taking their eyes off the chart–they can generate order forms with one click, trade directly from a watchlist or chart, close or increase positions from their positions widget, and more.
• Powerful charting: Customers can find bullish and bearish signals with access to 10 chart types, including candle, line, Heikin Ashi, and more, and they can have up to 8 charts in a single window, with dozens of chart settings. They can also discover patterns and spot opportunities by leveraging 80+ technical indicators including moving averages, Bollinger Bands, Ichimoku Cloud, VWAP, Volume Profile, and more, or using drawing tools including horizontal lines, trend lines, and Fibonacci tools, among others. 
• Real-time data and custom intervals: Customers can keep a pulse on the market with real time data updating at sub-second intervals, as well as custom intervals by the day, hour, minute, second, and all the way down to the tick. 
• Deeper analysis: Robinhood Legend also offers deeper analysis capability, with dozens of metrics that traders can use to monitor and analyze assets in their watchlist, orders, positions, and options chain.

Robinhood Legend is free to use for anyone with an account. It allows customers to trade 6,000 US stocks commission-free directly from their desktop browser, with no FX fees. Options trading on US stocks and indices is subject to contract fees and exchange fees for index options. Robinhood Legend started rolling out today and will become available to all customers over the coming weeks.
