IG Turns to AI to Transform Marketing Compliance
Adclear, the financial promotions platform, has today announced that it is partnering with leading investing and trading platform IG, to leverage the power of AI across marketing compliance. IG will embrace the cutting-edge technology to supplement existing processes to ensure all marketing, social media, website and product content adheres to the latest “finprom” rules and regulations.
Following a successful pilot, IG has rolled out Adclear’s AI across its UK&I marketing and compliance teams. The tech will analyse marketing content and rapidly flag any changes required to bring promotions in line with relevant regulations. This includes marketing content promoting stocks and shares, ETFs, cryptocurrency and more sophisticated trading products, wider global markets and products.
By reducing the traditional “back-and-forth” review process, the technology enables teams to streamline compliance approvals whilst keeping pace with modern marketing demands. In the initial weeks of going live, the tech has already enabled IG to speed up its compliance approval process and increase first-time approval rates.
IG Group recently became the first retail broker to secure an FCA Crypto Licence in the UK. As the financial watchdog continues to consult on new rules for crypto firms – and amidst reports that they will face a “high bar” – finance brands are seeking new, AI-powered routes to strengthen and speed up their compliance processes against a shifting regulatory backdrop.
Adclear’s AI is relied on by marketers from across the financial sector to ensure that financial promotions adhere to relevant regulations, whilst providing an in-depth audit trail for compliance teams. As it’s rolled out more widely, the AI platform will continue to help teams across IG speed up compliance reviews, and produce clear and impactful content – including press articles, social media posts, OOH and digital ads.
