Andrew Bresler Appointed CEO of Saxo UK

Saxo, the leader in online trading and investment, today announces the appointment of Andrew Bresler as CEO of Saxo UK, effective June 3rd. He takes over from interim CEO Simon Camilleri.

Andrew brings a wealth of experience within the financial sector, having been a key member of Saxo’s APAC leadership team and Deputy Head of Sales Trading in Singapore from 2016 to 2018. His strategic focus on growing the bank’s client base in APAC during this time highlights his deep understanding of Saxo’s products, platforms, and services. Following his tenure at Saxo, Andrew served as Regional Head of Brokerage, Portfolio Finance & Digital Investments for Asia & EMEA at Citibank.

Most recently, Andrew served in a range of leadership roles at InvestCloud, helping drive regional growth and overseeing daily operations from Singapore across APAC.

Stig Christensen, Saxo’s Chief Commercial Officer, commented on the appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Andrew as the new CEO of Saxo Markets UK Ltd. He is not only a seasoned leader, but also a great team player with a deep understanding of our industry, products, platforms, and clients. The combined strengths of our leadership team, the employees in the UK and Andrew’s capabilities, gives me great confidence in the future success for our UK business, where we have ambitious growth plans.”

Speaking about his new role, Andrew Bresler said: “It’s a huge honour to take on the role of CEO at Saxo Markets UK Ltd. As one of the largest markets for the financial services industry globally, the UK offers an enormous opportunity to grow the Saxo brand. Saxo UK is well positioned to capture this opportunity thanks to our broad – and expanding – product suite, and competitive pricing which was rolled out earlier this year.

“Coupled with the robust regulatory foundation which the team have built, I have full confidence that we can realise the business’ full potential together. I look forward to working with the passionate team in London and across the organisation. It very much feels like coming home, and I’m excited for the journey ahead of us.”
