thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel Selects prevero for Financial Planning

prevero, a Unit4 company and leading provider of Corporate Performance Management (CPM) and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, announced today that thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel GmbH has decided to switch its entire business planning to prevero. The project, which commenced in January 2017, is expected to go live later this summer.

Headquartered in Germany, thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel is a manufacturer of highly efficient high-tech electrical steels and was looking for an effortless way to extend its monthly rolling planning. The objective being to improve both central and decentralised planning processes across the organisation, making them more accessible for everyone involved. In addition to prevero’s great flexibility and its familiar user interface, the software’s self-service approach and a shared vision were key factors in the selection of prevero.

Sascha Stieglbauer, Head of Controlling at thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel: “In selecting prevero we have our entire financial planning processes in a single system. This will improve our efficiency as well as our ability to monitor and analyse performance across all of our operations, specifically key indicators in our profit and loss, cashflow, balance sheet and investment planning as well as any changes in stock. Together with more effective sales planning, those monthly rolling results will be integrated into our group reports and give us a single version of the truth, which we can use to further our business and financial success.”

Alexander Springer, CEO and co-founder of prevero: “We are delighted to welcome thyssenkrupp to our customer community. We pride ourselves on the strength of our solutions and the approach we take; working closely with all our customers to understand the challenges they face and providing solutions that help address those challenges both today and in the future. Our software’s self-service concept is a perfect fit for decentralised planning in specialist departments like those at thyssenkrupp as it ensures that all users can operate the system independently and enables them to make changes to the software themselves. Empowering users is at the heart of our vision and we look forward to seeing the benefits prevero brings to thyssenkrupp’s team.
