Thunes Hires Matt van Geldere as Chief People Officer to Support Global Growth

Thunes, a global cross-border payments company, today announced the appointment of Matt van Geldere as the company’s new Chief People Officer.
As the company’s first Chief People Officer, Matt will lead Thunes’ global human resources strategy during its rapid growth phase. That includes talent acquisition, training and leadership development, as well as building and maintaining company culture, diversity and inclusion.

“Matt is a seasoned HR executive and transformation expert with an impressive international track record helping fast-growing tech companies to expand globally. He will play a key role in recruiting and nurturing top talent from around the world while establishing a new and scalable HR operating model to support Thunes’ rapid growth. Matt’s extensive international and multi-cultural experience will also be invaluable in our mission to create a diverse and inclusive workplace culture,” said Peter De Caluwe, Chief Executive Officer, Thunes.

Matt brings more than 20 years of professional experience in human resources and business transformation across the digital advertising and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Thunes, he served in various global HR and Transformation leadership roles at ad-tech giant
Criteo where he led strategic change initiatives across 20 countries. Before joining Criteo, Matt had different global and regional HR leadership positions at Easynet Global Services, a global provider of managed networking, hosting and cloud integration services.

Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from Rotterdam University of Applied Science. Throughout his career, he has worked and lived in the Netherlands, Belgium, UK, China, and Singapore.
