The Spanish Revolut is called Fazil and now you can invest in its crowdfunding round

The Spanish technology startup Fazil Neobank offers a banking solution that stands out for its simplicity and the way it communicates in the language of new generations. It is currently at a crucial moment in its growth, prior to opening a new collective investment round, which represents a unique opportunity for all those interested in the digital financial sector.

In just one year, they have managed to attract more than 5,000 spanish customers who, with their account and card, have operated more than 13 million euros. Now “it’s time to grow,” they say, and that’s why they are looking for funding.

Fazil already demonstrated its ability to attract investors with its first round in 2021 through the Crowdfunding Bizkaia platform, the first collective financing platform promoted by a public institution. They raised 185,000 euros in just one hour.

“The previous round closed very quickly and many private investors wrote to us to see if they could invest, but it was already closed and we couldn’t do anything,” says the company’s CEO Ignacio Santos.

This new round will open very soon on Crowdcube, the British company that has established itself as Europe’s leading “equity crowdfunding” platform. It is precisely at Crowdcube where the two main neobanks in the United Kingdom, Monzo and Revolut, successfully closed several million-euro financing rounds.

“We are detecting a lot of interest from investors in the UK, and it is curious because on several occasions they have referred to us as the Spanish Revolut,” Santos mentions. “For us, it is a compliment to be seen in this way. I think every entrepreneur would like to be compared to a company that has gone from zero to being valued at 33 billion euros in less than 10 years,” he adds.

Opportunity in a growing sector

The adoption of digital banking has experienced significant growth in recent years. According to Statista, in 2015 there were around 1.36 billion digital banking users worldwide, representing approximately 19% of the world’s population that year. By 2025, this number is expected to increase to more than 4.3 billion people, which is equivalent to 54.6% of the world’s population.

These figures reflect an upward trend in the adoption of digital banking worldwide, which will undoubtedly change the way people interact with financial services in the near future. Therefore, many see the possibility of investing in companies with high growth potential in this sector as a great opportunity. This is the case with Fazil Neobank’s funding round, which has already registered interest from hundreds of people.

“We are very happy with the great reception it is receiving even before we have opened the round on Crowdcube,” says Santos. “We also understand that it is because they see it as a unique opportunity, as there are currently no other neobanks in Spain at the moment we are with Fazil. This second funding round will allow us to consolidate our position in the digital financial services market, continue innovating and optimizing our product to offer the best possible experience to our users. This has only just begun.”
