Temporary Closure of Selected Maybank Branches and the Implementation of Maybank COVID-19 Relief Package

In light of the current COVID-19 situation, the banking industry is taking pre-emptive measures to minimise social interactions in the community. As such, Maybank will be temporarily closing 8 branches from 9 April to 4 May but all self-service banking facilities (ATMs) and cheque deposit services across Maybank Singapore’s network, including the atm5 network, will remain open. Customers may continue to bank at nearby branches, and they are highly encouraged to transact online during this period. The following 8 branches will be closed temporarily till 4 May 2020:

Maybank has a total of 18 banking branches in Singapore. One of the branches at Choa Chu Kang is under renovation. Cash transactions, cheque deposit services and payment services including remittance will be available at the remaining 9 branches. Individual account opening and application for the Maybank COVID-19 Relief Package for unsecured credit facilities, home loans, SMEs and Etiqa Insurance will only be available online during this
period.

Dr. John Lee, Country CEO and CEO of Maybank Singapore, said, “I would like to reassure our customers that we remain committed to providing unwavering support to serve your banking needs, although there are some adjustments that will need to be made operationally. We seek the understanding of our customers as we work together to overcome COVID-19. In line with the Special Financial Relief Programme (SFRP) announced by MAS and ABS, we are providing a Maybank COVID-19 Relief Package from 6 April 2020, consisting of repayment deferment arrangements for unsecured credit facilities, home loans, SMEs and insurance from our partner Etiqa, to help alleviate the financial stress on individuals and SMEs and do what we possibly can to tide our customers over this difficult period.”
