TANDEM LAUNCHES NEW HEALTHY BALANCE APP HIGHLIGHT

Today digital bank Tandem announces a new highlight on its banking app that celebrates users who have kept on top of their finances. The “Healthy Balance” notification will appear to people who have kept the balance of an account above £500 for the last three months and congratulate them on their money management win.

This highlight encourages savers to keep on top of their budgeting by serving as a mini morale boost. This highlight joins Tandem’s growing roster of conversational updates that update app users on different aspects of their lives with money. These range from alerts that flag everything from duplicate payments, to increased spend at a certain retailer or paying an unnecessary fee when you buy a rail ticket.

Just like a health tracker on a smartphone that monitors your heart rate, steps and calories, the Tandem app uses AI and account aggregation to help you keep tabs on your money and get in better financial shape.

Ricky Knox, Tandem CEO, says, “Although a big part of highlights is showing you ways to improve your finances, it’s also great to celebrate with users when they’re doing well and that’s what we’re doing with Healthy Balance. At Tandem we want everyone to be in good financial shape.”
