Synechron opens upgraded financial innovation lab in Amsterdam
Synechron Inc., the global financial services consulting and technology services provider, has today announced that it upgraded its Financial Innovation Lab (FinLab) in Amsterdam. The new facility will help build Synechron’s offerings beyond Business Consulting in the region, which has historically been the main focus in Amsterdam.
Synechron’s new FinLab in Amsterdam will strengthen its capabilities in serving the region with the latest innovations and emerging technologies, rooted in Synechron’s power of three approach, pairing the region’s deep business consulting expertise with knowledge of the latest in technology and digital. The expanded FinLab also will support digital transformation initiatives for local clients with added features, a significantly larger space, more demo screens and workshop stations, and a fully-immersive guest area to support larger groups given growing demand in the region.
The Amsterdam FinLab upgrade comes shortly after the recent appointment of Jarno Droog as Director of Technology in the Netherlands, showcasing the region’s continuously growing Technology practice and capabilities. The region’s Technology practice strives to grow as large as the Business Consulting practice in Amsterdam to approximately 150 people, a tenfold increase in three years. With the region’s ambition to reach 25% revenue growth, Technology is an important pillar in reaching this goal.
Dennis Martens, Principal Consultant and FinLab Owner at Synechron, said: “Our FinLab is a place for innovation, inspiration and co-creation and a place where clients can see, experiment with, and experience the latest technologies. We are glad to have a space that fits the growing technology needs of our local clients and capabilities to show those just starting out, as well as our more experienced clients. The enhanced FinLab will play a vital role in the strategic growth of the region.”
The new FinLab in Amsterdam will allow clients to have direct interaction with the latest technologies and prototypes in the market. Projects in this region and being demoed in the FinLab include work in the areas of Conversational AI, Cognitive RPA, Data Analytics, and Process Digitization using the newest technologies and deep business knowledge. Synechron currently has 11 FinLabs globally, with locations in New York, Charlotte, Fort Lauderdale, London, Dubai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Serbia, and most recently, Paris.
Joost Loves, Managing Director and Head of Synechron in the Netherlands, said: “In today’s markets, it is imperative to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to innovation and technology in order to remain competitive. The demand for these technologies is high. Offering a place for our clients to see these and advance their digital transformation projects was a natural choice. The new FinLab and momentum of the Technology practice in Amsterdam will play a pivotal role in driving our ambitions to be the leading digital firm.”
