Cogo Strengthens Product Portfolio With the Launch of Electrification Tool
Cogo Electrification Tool is now live, helping users optimise energy efficiency in their homes and vehicles. This sustainable upgrade platform provides personalised insights, enabling cost savings and measurable carbon reductions.
Ben Gleisner, Cogo Founder, comments: “This is an exciting day for us at Cogo, as this product is something we know the market has needed for some time. The tool is not only easy for businesses to implement, but it is also simple for their customers to use, making a sustainable home and commute much more accessible.”
The white label product can be easily integrated into the online experience for any business with direct online customer interaction. Customers input personalised information such as their property address, what type of fuel they use for heating, and vehicle registration number. This personalised data, combined with Cogo’s country-specific energy model, then calculates the personalised savings that could be realised. In addition, the tool informs customers of any grants, subsidies or finance options that could be available and then connects them to credible local installers and dealers.
How it works:
-
A dynamic snapshot of the potential energy savings for an individual’s home/ vehicle
-
Personalised upgrade scenarios that show cost vs. savings over time, i.e. the payback on investing in upgrades now
-
Specific suggestions like solar panels, heat pump installation, EVs, insulation upgrades or hot water system changes
-
Clear cost breakdowns and energy savings estimates
-
Embedded connections to local suppliers, verified installers and financing options
To date, Cogo’s carbon management products have typically been adopted by banks and financial institutions, however the launch of a fully white-labeled electrification product now opens up opportunities for energy retailers, insurers, local governments and other organisations with a large retail customer base.
Gleisner continues: “Many sectors are struggling with the energy transition so this new tool has been designed specifically for use across multiple sectors, not just the financial industry.”
The electrification tool is currently being launched in the UK, Australia and New Zealand with other markets in the pipeline. These markets have been selected based on the uptake of these technologies, the level of government support for subsidies and rebates, and existing Cogo relationships.
ASB in New Zealand and Westpac in Australia have already taken up this new product.
The Cogo electrification tool builds on and complements Cogo’s existing carbon management products which have given millions of households the opportunity to lower their carbon footprint and save costs.
