Spain’s Correos Selects Paysafe to Drive E-Commerce Payments

Paysafe’s NETELLER, Skrill and Rapid Transfer added as payment options on Correos’ e-commerce platform Comandia

Spain’s state-owned postal company Correos has chosen Paysafe as a recommended payment provider for businesses using Comandia, its e-commerce platform.

As part of the collaboration between the two companies, Paysafe’s Skrill Quick CheckOut service – incorporating the Skrill and NETELLER digital wallets and Rapid Transfer instant banking solution – will become available on all Comandia merchant websites. This means that Paysafe will process payments for businesses within Comandia’s network of merchants and enable them to accept payments through Paysafe wallets, debit and credit cards and bank transfers (through Rapid Transfer).

Correos has more than 2,300 post offices across Spain and around 9,000 e-commerce and digital delivery service point outlets. Comandia is Correos’ global e-commerce solution, a channel that facilitates online sales for several thousand small and medium-size businesses.

Commenting on the collaboration, Correos Commercial and Marketing Director, Carlos Millán Ruiz said: “Our partnership with Paysafe improves the payment methods we can now offer through Comandia. Being able to extend the range of simple, fast and secure options available to the businesses we serve is crucial to driving sales through the web.”

Paysafe Digital Wallets CEO, Lorenzo Pellegrino said: “We are thrilled to be working with a leading e-commerce player such as Correos, which is focused on digital commerce and delivery in and beyond Spain.”

Pellegrino added: “E-commerce is growing in importance. Consumers and businesses are increasingly choosing digital and alternative payment methods, and mobile-initiated transactions. Paysafe’s approach is to create a one-stop-shop for the businesses we work with to enable them to have a single point of integration to our payment products suite. That is why we are pursuing exciting e-commerce market opportunities such as this to differentiate our offering with value-enhancing and relevant propositions for both merchants and consumers.”
