SEON Prepares For Busy 2023 With New Key Hires

Fraud prevention company, SEON, has announced the new hires of Ben Ortman as its new Global VP of Sales and Andrew McAllister as its new VP of Customer Success. The new additions reaffirm the company’s commitment to continued growth in 2023.

Following another year of sustained success, the world’s fastest growing fraud prevention company, SEON, has further bolstered its global operations by hiring two new senior executives with proven track records delivering growth at leading technology organizations. Ben Ortman, who worked for the tech leaders, LinkedIn and Slack during the periods of hyper growth and acquisitions by Microsoft and Salesforce respectively, joins the company as its new Global VP of Sales. Similarly, Andrew McAllister will serve as the company’s new VP of Customer Success following a period working for fellow software company, Splunk.

Prior to joining SEON as Global VP of Sales, Ortman has built high-performing global sales teams in Europe and the US on behalf of LinkedIn and Slack. Now, he will leverage that experience to help SEON as it continues to grow commercially around the world. Specifically, Ben’s work will focus on helping the fraud prevention company to continue scaling its global revenue growth, with special attention given to the company’s expansion in the US and LATAM regions.

In his new role as VP of Customer Success, McAllister will lead the company’s global customer-facing functions. Having previously worked in a similar role at Splunk, Andrew understands what it takes to build best-in-class customer experiences. Now, he will use that knowledge on behalf of SEON, helping the company to define its customer success strategy more precisely, bringing customers closer to the company than ever before.

Speaking on his new role, Andrew McAllister commented: “It’s fantastic to join SEON at such an exciting moment in the company’s journey. In the past year, many of us have become more familiar with the challenges posed by online fraud and the issue is now high on the agendas of many companies. In my new role, I will work tirelessly to ensure our customers have the right tools to address this challenge, and to get even more value from SEON. In turn, that will mean more growth for SEON, which will help to take the company to the next level.”

Commenting on his new role, Ortman told us: “I’m honored and excited to join SEON and contribute to the company’s continuous growth and momentum. I am thrilled to lead the Global Sales organization across all regions, including our fast-expanding U.S. market. SEON’s approach, status in the market and product roadmap uniquely positions us to act as trusted advisors to our customers and partners, from small eCommerce merchants to large multinational enterprises”

The new additions cap off an extremely busy and productive year for SEON. Over the course of 2022, the company has closed a record-breaking USD $94 million Series B investment round led by IVP and was named as the ‘Hottest Cybersecurity Startup’ at the 2022 Europas Awards. Additionally, SEON recently launched a ‘forever free’ version of its powerful solution to make fraud prevention real-time, and more accessible than ever before, which will help businesses to save on costs emerging from this growing issue.

Speaking on the new hires, Jimmy Fong, Chief Commercial Officer at SEON commented: “Andrew and Ben bring decades of highly relevant professional experience to SEON, which should put us in an amazing position to continue our exciting growth in 2023. They join us from two of the biggest tech and software companies in the world and therefore, have exceptional knowledge on what’s required when undergoing significant global scaling and amazing existing relationships with key strategic figures and businesses in the markets and regions we’re targeting.

“What’s more, we believe these high-caliber hires underline once again the potent excitement, which exists within the industry to work at SEON, and is yet further testament to the faith and belief that genuine industry experts put in our fraud prevention solution. We were already very excited for 2023, but now with Andrew and Ben on board, we feel better equipped than ever to make it our best year to date.”
