Revolut launches Connect, the app store for business banking

Revolut, the fastest growing fintech in Europe, has announced the launch of Revolut Connect, one of the easiest and fastest ways to connect Revolut for Business accounts to everyday business tools and apps.

The London-based fintech is currently signing up over 120 businesses per day to Revolut for Business accounts across the UK and Europe, with 60,000 signed up to date. Existing business users have already sent over $350m worth of transfers since the service launched last June, saving UK and European businesses over $14m in fees to date.

The innovative fintech has created Revolut Connect as the ultimate tool to complement business banking, allowing companies to easily connect and build integrations for the most popular business apps, including accounting platforms like FreeAgent, communication tools like Slack, apps to help with tax, payroll, expense management and more. Apps such as Xero, Sage, FreshBooks and Quaderno are also coming soon, as Revolut looks to provide even more integration options.

Lumbering traditional banks have been infamous for their inability to open up to the outside world and evolve to the way businesses work today. Modern businesses live and operate online, using a wide variety of apps and tools to streamline operations, serve customers effectively and process payments instantly – with as few fees as possible.

The fast-growing fintech has listened to business and customer feedback and built Revolut for Business to help companies automate and simplify their workflows. They recently announced their Open API, allowing businesses to automate daily tasks and internal workflows with actions such as scheduled and mass payments, adding counterparties, as well as webhooks so businesses are notified of new transactions.

Revolut has also ensured that businesses are always in control of their data and security. When businesses use Revolut Connect to integrate with a third-party app, they can decide what data can be shared, and even pause or stop sharing at any time – all from their Revolut for Business account.

Revolut are aiming to make Revolut for Business an open banking platform, that others can build important services on top of. Revolut are working to make the API available to developers, so that they can leverage its capabilities to create their own integrations and apps to share with Revolut’s customers.
