Peter Arkley Named President of Alliant Retail Property and Casualty

Alliant Insurance Services has announced the promotion of Peter Arkley to President, Alliant Retail Property and Casualty. In his new role, Arkley will lead Alliant’s retail P&C operation to leverage the strength of its Specialty Group and geographic business to drive operational excellence by bringing the best specialists to each client.

“Peter has had an impressive track record of leading Alliant Specialty, one of the nation’s largest and most diverse specialty insurance operations, through significant growth,” said Tom Corbett, Chairman and CEO of Alliant. “He is an integral part of Alliant’s leadership team and will continue to drive the momentum forward as we enter the next chapter of growth at Alliant.”

As President of Alliant Specialty, Arkley was responsible for developing and implementing the business and financial strategy. Under his leadership, the group has experienced exceptional growth of over 107% in organizational revenue and grew total premium volume by $5 billion over the past four years. He has also expanded the group’s talent base and highly regarded insurance practices to an extensive portfolio of 13 verticals. Under his strategic direction, Alliant Specialty had double-digit growth year over year during the pandemic.

Arkley joined Alliant in 2011 and brought together the premier construction risk management talent in the United States. Before joining Alliant, Arkley served as Chief Executive Officer of the global construction operations for an international insurance brokerage firm.
