TBC Uzbekistan Launches Salom Card, its New Flagship Daily Banking Product

TBC Bank Uzbekistan (TBC UZ), the country’s largest mobile-only bank, announces the soft launch of Salom Card, its flagship debit card product. Salom Card will initially be released exclusively for waiting list subscribers, with full rollout to follow shortly.

A sleek and innovative daily banking product, Salom Card will transform how people in Uzbekistan interact with their bank. This launch marks a significant milestone for TBC, as Salom Card is a key part in TBC Uzbekistan’s strategy of expanding its digital financial services, further driving customer and revenue growth. The product will set a new benchmark for daily banking products in Uzbekistan, offering a range of benefits previously unavailable on the market and an easy-to-use, fully digital interface through the TBC mobile app.

Salom Card is set to become the entry point into the TBC Uzbekistan digital banking ecosystem, which, in addition to TBC Bank Uzbekistan, also includes Payme, a digital payments app for individuals and small businesses; and Payme Nasiya, an instalment finance business. As the core product, Salom Card will enable users to seamlessly engage with the wider product offering within the ecosystem, and serve as an additional channel to drive customer growth and engagement.

Salom Card will be available free-of-charge to customers over the age of 18 and easily accessible through the TBC mobile app, providing them with a convenient and secure way to manage their finances. It will be the first daily banking product on the market to provide customers with a range of additional benefits, such as 12% interest on balances, free cash top-ups, free ATM withdrawals and 5% cashback with partner merchants. The range of companies providing cashbacks are services that consumers use every day in Uzbekistan.

Nika Kurdiani, CEO of TBC Group operations in Uzbekistan, commented: “Launching Salom Card, our flagship debit card product, is a significant milestone for TBC as we create world-class digital banking products in Uzbekistan, making financial transactions easier and more enjoyable for our customers. It’s set to become the central element of our digital banking and financial services ecosystem, through which users can handle all their daily banking needs via an easy-to-use and accessible digital interface. This product will drive our customer growth. It will also enable us to better understand our customers and their needs, and develop and launch relevant new products and services as we expand our product offering.
