Primer Sets a New Standard for All Checkouts, Combining Simplicity and a Brand-Perfect Experience

Primer, the unified infrastructure for global payments and commerce, has announced the launch of its enhanced Checkout, making it easier than ever for merchants to create a fully tailored checkout without the heavy lift of bespoke development.

Primer’s new Checkout means merchants no longer have to choose between speed and flexibility, delivering both full brand control and effortless integration using modular UI components.

Theo Spyrides, Head of Product at Primer said: “This new development is Primer’s vision in product form: removing the heavy engineering burden and giving merchants complete control. It’s the most customizable checkout on the market – built to be accessible while still enabling the functionality and back-end insights that make payments simple.”

Designed by Primer, defined by your brand:

Primer’s Checkout delivers a dynamic, component-based experience that adapts seamlessly to any brand, platform, or market.

It introduces two core concepts: A modular design, powered by interconnected components merchants can combine like building blocks to create their ideal checkout flow; and style variables, which enable precise visual alignment with each brand’s identity through simple, code-light adjustments.

Checkout minimises development effort while unlocking rich data and insights that allow merchants to experiment and optimize performance.

The result: merchants are able to secure maximum conversions at the final step in a customer’s payment journey. That means a better experience for the customer, and less work than ever for developers.

UX built for confidence and conversion:

Optimizing checkout flows – including visual consistency with brand identity – is critical to removing friction and reinforcing trust at the point of purchase. According to research, UX improvements at this stage can improve conversion rates by up to 35%.

Spyrides continued: “Merchants can now design an experience that reflects their brand with full creative and functional freedom, with no performance trade offs. It means less time building payments, and more time building their business.”

This launch represents the first of a range of product developments that Primer plans to launch in Q4 2025, as part of the company’s continued expansion of its unified product suite.
