Paysend Partners with TelevisaUnivision to Enhance Financial Inclusion Across Latin America
The Paysend TelevisaUnivision partnership marks a strategic effort to make it easier for people in Latin America to get money. The goal of this partnership between the top Spanish-language media company and the global payments provider is to give people in underserved areas fast, low-cost cross-border money transfers.
The new campaign, Break Barriers, produced in collaboration with TelevisaUnivision, brings to life powerful real-world stories from Latin America and the Caribbean. This strategic initiative taps into TelevisaUnivision’s full media ecosystem, leveraging the reach and cultural relevance of the leading Spanish-language media company. The campaign features a 30-second premium-quality film airing on national and local TV, branded content integrations within the iconic morning show Despierta América with on-air talent, sports segments designed to build authenticity and trust across diverse Hispanic audiences, and targeted audio spots on national and local radio in key markets. Additionally, hyper-localized creative assets will run on ViX, the world’s largest Spanish-language streaming service, alongside community-based grassroots activations and performance-driven components to reinforce impact and engagement across channels.
Latin America remains a strategic priority for Paysend, as the region accounts for over $150 billion in annual remittance flows globally, and a population where over 70% of adults are either underbanked or unbanked, creating a significant opportunity to drive financial inclusion. At the heart of this effort is Paysend’s mission to break geographic, financial, and digital barriers. For millions across the region, cross-border payments are more than transactions; they are lifelines. From supporting families and friends to fueling education, entrepreneurship, and everyday resilience, ‘Break Barriers’ reflects Paysend’s commitment to making money movement simpler, faster and more meaningful.
This partnership helps Paysend reach more people. The TelevisaUnivision network helps spread the word about safe digital transactions and teach people about them.
“Latin America is a region that is central to our long-term vision,” said Ana Paula Rocha, Head of Growth Marketing at Paysend. “Working with TelevisaUnivision and continuing to invest in the region allows us to authentically showcase how Paysend is solving the real pain points of cross-border money transfers.
