ONE Championship Partners With Primer to Launch New Direct Digital Payment Experience

ONE ChampionshipÔ (ONE), the world’s largest martial arts organization, has partnered with Primer, the world’s first automation platform for payments and commerce, to launch a direct and seamless digital platform that offers localized payment options for fans in practically any market around the world.

The transition to Primer’s unique, no-code integration platform enables ONE to offer a range of digital payment methods including Paypal, Google and Apple Pay, debit and credit cards, as well as local payment options, such as PayLah! and PayNow to fans in Singapore, Shopee Pay in Indonesia, PromptPay in Thailand, and Klarna in Europe.

Jonathan Wong, Head of Product at ONE said: “Our roots are in Asia, but we now welcome a truly global audience. The partnership with Primer enhances the payment experience for all our fans from any part of the world by offering a greater range of payment options.

We’ll now be able to expand our payment methods as our audience grows, providing smooth, secure on-site ticketing, without having to build a specialist in-house payments team.”

Primer gives merchants the flexibility to test, add or remove any payment method or commerce service they want to their payment stack or commerce workflow, with no code.

Through Primer’s infrastructure, ONE can now integrate any new or commonly accepted payment method into their ticketing system in just a few clicks. Primer will also work with ONE to chart important payments and commerce metrics for business growth in a singular dashboard.

Kailash Madan, Head of Sales, APAC for Primer shares: “For the media industry, meeting changing consumer expectations around payment methods is crucial to retain engagement. As ONE expands into more markets, Primer’s integration will allow them to overcome the challenges of the fragmented payment landscape, providing a better experience for their fans and ultimately, capturing more transactions.”

Founded in 2020 by PayPal alumni Paul Anthony and Gabriel Le Roux, Primer has helped merchants worldwide – from medium sized businesses to some of the world’s largest enterprise merchants – tackle their most complex digital payments challenges.
