Genome and Sepagon Partnership Enhances Open Banking

Genome, a leading European Electronic Money Institution (EMI) regulated by the Bank of Lithuania, and Sepagon, an open banking technology provider specializing in seamless, card-free payments, are pleased to announce a partnership that enhances the efficiency of transactions.

Through this collaboration, Sepagon integrates Genome’s secure incoming payment APIs and real-time webhook notifications to offer faster, more transparent C2B payments for businesses and their customers.

Powering real-time payments

Sepagon enables business clients to accept payments directly from customers’ bank accounts without relying on card networks or third-party wallets. By using Genome’s infrastructure, Sepagon now receives real-time updates on incoming transfers, allowing immediate payment confirmations, automated tracking, and smoother transaction flows.

The integration supports SEPA Credit and Instant Transfers, giving businesses flexible options to receive funds quickly and securely across Europe.

“Genome’s robust APIs and webhook notifications significantly improve our ability to provide instant, verifiable A2A payments,” said Rotem Hamburger, CEO of Sepagon. “It’s a key step forward in making bank-based payments the default choice for businesses.”

“Our goal is to support forward-thinking companies like Sepagon in building seamless, transparent financial solutions,” said Daumantas Barauskas, CEO of Genome. “This integration eliminates delays in payment recognition and helps businesses operate more efficiently.”

Redefining payment flow in open banking

The partnership signals progress toward real-time payments at scale. It enables businesses using Sepagon’s platform to bypass card fees, reduce processing time, and improve user satisfaction while relying on Genome’s compliant and resilient infrastructure for secure payment reception.

Both Genome and Sepagon are committed to driving innovation in financial services and supporting the shift toward faster, more cost-effective open banking solutions.
