CLOWD9 and Moniepoint Support Mayor of London’s Landmark Africa Fintech Trade Mission

CLOWD9 Moniepoint Partnership is set to transform UK-Nigeria remittances. During the London fintech trade mission to Nigeria, Moniepoint GB teamed up with CLOWD9. They combined MonieWorld’s growing remittance traction with CLOWD9’s strong, cloud-native infrastructure to speed up cross-border payments and make it easier for people to get money.

The agreement, disclosed during the Mayor of London’s Landmark fintech trade mission to Nigeria, aims to improve cross-border remittances between London and Lagos by delivering faster processing speeds and leveraging CLOWD9’s scalable and resilient payments infrastructure.

Moniepoint GB’s newly launched remittance product, MonieWorld, is enabling more efficient and reliable money transfers along the London-Lagos corridor. In doing this, the product, which has gained huge traction, enhances financial access for both senders and recipients, contributing positively to bilateral trade and the global economic landscape as remittances play a critical role in supplementing foreign direct investments, supporting household consumption and foreign exchange liquidity.  By partnering with CLOWD9, Monieworld will gain access to next-generation processing capabilities built on cloud-native microservices technology – delivering the agility and scalability required to serve customers in new markets.

This CLOWD9 Moniepoint Partnership enhances bilateral trade by enabling faster, scalable remittance technology between London and Lagos.

“We are excited to partner with CLOWD9 as we continue on our mission of creating financial happiness for every African everywhere by addressing the fragmented financial needs of the African diaspora, starting with Nigerians in the UK, by creating a seamless bridge between their financial lives.  Their innovative, cloud-native platform provides the agility and resilience we need to support our ambitious growth targets and continue our vision to connect Africans in the diaspora with the tools to support their communities and grow local economies – one remittance at a time.”  says Ravi Jakhodia, CEO Moniepoint GB.

Furthermore, Jakhodia states that “The relationship between both firms has been bolstered by the Mayor’s visit, signposting  London’s focus on strengthening economic ties with global markets such as Nigeria and providing a platform for fintech companies to explore international growth opportunities. ”

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “Nigeria and Kenya are two of the world’s most vibrant and rapidly developing tech ecosystems. I am delighted that Clowd9 is joining me in Africa as part of London & Partners Grow London Global trade delegation as we work together to access opportunities, deliver growth and build a fairer and more prosperous London for all.”

Suresh Vaghjiani, CEO of CLOWD9, commented, “Our partnership with Moniepoint is a testament to the power of having one global decentralized code base across every continent. Moniepoint’s incredible success in Africa and their vision for global expansion align perfectly with our mission to provide sustainable, stable, and scalable processing capabilities anywhere in the world. We are proud to be working with Moniepoint and contribute to their continued success. This alignment will unlock new opportunities that can drive trade between the UK and Nigeria which currently is put at £7.5 billion. ”
