Charities and Nonprofits Boost Donor Engagement with Brite Payments

Charities and nonprofits often grapple with resource constraints and administrative burdens. This can be the difference between receiving a donation or not at all,” said Elise Hammarström, Co-founder and CEO, Octany. “By using Brite, we solved our challenges by being able to automatically retrieve the donor’s bank account information to set up direct debit. From this, we’ve already seen the success rate for direct debit signups improve by 24 per cent in the first month.”

Open banking enables data sharing via a user’s bank’s standard identification method, which provides Brite with a secure way to provide instant account verification for robust donor validation. Additionally, instant transaction insights allow for precise tracking of donations and funds, flexible integration, and transparent data sharing, all underpinned by user consent and strong authentication.

The Swedish Sea Rescue Society, a prominent charity focused on maritime search and rescue, also highlights the advantages of using Brite. “It’s easier than ever for supporters to donate,” explains Gunnar Lindgren, Customer Relationship Analyst, SSRS. “We’ve significantly reduced administrative burden and friction in the donation process. This confidence allows us to focus more on attracting and retaining frequent supporters.”
