BR-DGE Makes First APAC Hire as Part of International Expansion Strategy

Payment orchestration provider, BR-DGE, has announced its first in-region hire for Asia Pacific as the business expands its global presence.

BR-DGE has appointed Gerard Pottinger as Head of APAC to help drive the expansion and performance of the company’s merchant operations and partnerships in region. Based in Sydney, Australia, Gerard was previously Head of Programmes at Entain, one of the world’s largest betting and gaming groups, where he led major projects across retail and digital domains.

Commenting on the appointment, Thomas Gillan, CEO at BR-DGE said; “After a period of significant growth for BR-DGE, we’re now accelerating our plans for geographic expansion. As the category leader, we already offer solutions and services on a global basis, so it’s important for us to provide in-market, localised support for our international customers and partners. Gerard will be instrumental in onboarding our enterprise merchants, as well as developing our partnerships and broader market initiatives in region. We’re really looking forward to seeing the growth of the team and opportunities that Gerard will be building over the coming months”.

BR-DGE is already in the process of solidifying several partnerships with key players in the region, including Australian-based payment platform, Fat Zebra.

Pred Dragila, CEO at Fat Zebra, commented; “We’re really excited about the BR-DGE team landing in region and look forward to being a part of their APAC ecosystem. As ecommerce continues to grow rapidly, this partnership is key to supporting merchants and partners in an exciting and evolving market.”
