BPC Launches One of the First Visa Flex Credential Technology in Vietnam

BPC, a global leader in payments solutions, has launched one of the first Visa Flexible Credential (VFC) technology in Vietnam. This marks a significant milestone for the country’s digital payments landscape.

Powered by BPC’s cloud-native SmartVista platform, the deployment of VFC enables leading financial institutions to issue Visa cards that will allow consumers to instantly choose between various payment modes.

Through a single Visa credential, cardholders will now have greater flexibility and control over how they pay – whether through debit, credit, Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) options like pay-in-four, or even using rewards points. This helps expand payment choices and adapting to the diverse financial needs of consumers – wherever they are in the world or in their financial journey.

Peter Theunis, SVP Sales, BPC, said, “Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing digital economies in Asia. Being among the first issuer processors worldwide to certify and launch Visa Flexible Credential is a milestone for us. SmartVista’s microservices architecture means we can enable the service swiftly for any bank in Vietnam and the region, helping issuers bring dynamic, customer-centric propositions to their market.”

The partnership between BPC and Visa aims to help financial institutions to deliver innovative, secure, and future-ready payment experiences that places the control back in the hands of consumers. It also simplifies multi-currency transactions and enables issuers to offer a wider range of services to their customers. Thisempowers consumers with better budgeting, smarter rewards usage, and improved spend management.

Following the successful Vietnam launch, BPC and Visa are planning additional VFC  deployments across Asia Pacific in the coming months, reinforcing a shared commitment to building agile, digital-first payment ecosystems worldwide.
