Payments, fintech and banking experts to unite at PayExpo 2019

The UK’s leading payments conference, PayExpo, is back once again, bringing the world’s leading fintech, banking, retail and gaming experts together for the seventh year running.

Taking place on 8-9 October at the Business Design Centre, London, this year will see more than 2,000 strategists, disruptors, innovators and implementers gather to connect and discuss the future of business, regulations and the technologies shaping each spotlighted sector.

Following the successful launch last year, PayExpo will once again be running its gaming payments conference stream in partnership with ICE London, the leading gaming industry event. This stream brings together payments and fraud experts from leading gaming operators as well as specialist solution providers to share their insights.

This year’s agenda features over 40 hours of content delivered by over 100 decision makers from leading brands and regulators including the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Revolut, Monzo, HSBC, Barclays, European Central Bank, Mastercard, the Department for International Trade (DIT), Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania and the Open Banking Implementation Entity.

Nick Bennett, COO, Tandem Bank – who will be leading a session on Artificial Intelligence, and debating the state of play amongst challenger banks at the event – commented, “At Tandem we are proud to be driving forward disruption in the payments and banking industry. PayExpo is a natural fit for us to share Tandem’s vision and discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the sector. I look forward to speaking at the conference and hearing the insight from many other leading industry figures.”

From TED-style talks and heated panel discussions to announcing this year’s most influential payments experts in the Payments Power 10 and newcomers competing to impress our judges in the Payments Dragons’ Den, PayExpo offers guests a wide range of engaging activities during the two-day conference.

This year PayExpo is working with the DIT to support the development of early-stage UK payments and fintech startups. Eligible startups can attend for free and apply to showcase their solutions in the new Startup Hub and pitch in the Payments Dragons’ Den.

PayExpo is also expanding its content with new spotlights on international markets including sessions exploring opportunities in the Middle East, Hong Kong, Australia, Mexico, Arizona and Lithuania.

Along with a full agenda, the exhibition floor will host an array of the latest payments innovations for our audience to explore – bringing together the minds that shape the future of payments with the ones implementing it.

PayExpo’s Event Manager, Andrew Earle, said, “PayExpo is all about supporting payment innovation and providing a platform for leaders, newcomers and everyone in between to engage with the wider industry and address our greatest challenges and opportunities. We’re really looking forward to what should be a fascinating and insightful few days this October.”

Growing in demand, last year the conference welcomed 40% more payments and fintech start-ups than the previous year – with further growth expected in 2019.

Passes start from £999 + VAT, with merchants, retail banks, gaming operators and start-ups eligible for free passes. Click here to book or apply for a free pass.
