Vodafone Business Launches Cybersecurity Platform to Help SM&Es Reduce Human Cyber Risk and Effectively Mitigate Cyberattacks
To prevent costly cyberattacks resulting from human error, Vodafone has launched Vodafone CybSafe in partnership with leading human risk management (HRM) experts CybSafe.
Designed to assist small, medium and enterprise (SM&Es) businesses with improving cybersecurity behaviours within their teams, Vodafone CybSafe is a cybersecurity platform which leverages AI, data, psychology, and behavioural science to measure and improve cybersecurity behaviour, awareness, and culture within organisations.
Vodafone CybSafe offers scientific, evidence-based software underpinned by SebDB, the world’s most comprehensive cybersecurity behaviour database. The software provides virtual cyber assistance and scientifically proven, behaviour-changing personalised nudges to help users address cybersecurity risks and assist organisations in meeting compliance requirements.
In addition, the platform offers a range of training modules to help boost staff confidence in managing potential cyber threats, including phishing or ransomware attacks.
Businesses increasingly rely on HRM platforms like CybSafe due to the advanced capabilities of online malicious actors who primarily target employees to bypass cybersecurity measures. CybSafe focuses on targeted, intelligence-led interventions to improve security behaviours, helping to prevent attacks which otherwise could cost a small business up to £4,200.
And, with 43% of cyber-attacks targeting SMEs specifically and 60% of these leading to business closures within six months, it is even more essential that organisations put in place strong cybersecurity protocols for operational resilience.
Steve Knibbs, Director of Vodafone Business Security Enhanced, Vodafone UK said: “We are delighted to add Vodafone CybSafe to our portfolio of cybersecurity solutions aimed at keeping SM&Es protected online. We frequently see cases of malicious actors taking advantage of employees who may not be suitably trained to recognise and manage different types of cyber threats. All too often, once a breach has occurred, they can go unnoticed until the real damage has been done.
“And, as we celebrate Cybersecurity Awareness this month, I would urge SM&Es to put in place dedicated protective solutions like Vodafone CybSafe, which are designed to improve business security culture and behaviours, which in turn empowers employees to confidently identify, manage and mitigate potential cyber threats, effectively turning them into the first line of cybersecurity defence.”
Oz Alashe MBE, CEO and Founder of CybSafe said: “Our partnership with Vodafone Business offers an opportunity to positively impact those small and medium-sized businesses that urgently need cybersecurity support, particularly in fostering better security behaviours among their teams. In these businesses, people juggle multiple roles and responsibilities, and as a result, cybersecurity can become an afterthought. Yet, these are the organisations most at risk if a cyber incident occurs and are most likely to face serious challenges as a result.
“We often talk about the human factor in cyberattacks, but we can’t expect people to defend against these threats without proper guidance. CybSafe’s partnership with Vodafone will provide this support, and we are confident it will have a significant impact on the cyber resilience of small and medium-sized businesses.”
Vodafone CybSafe is now available to purchase via the Vodafone Business Martketplace:
