LUCINITY APPOINTS HJÖRTUR LÍNDAL STEFÁNSSON AS CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Hjörtur Líndal Stefánsson joins the Lucinity team from Amazon. This new appointment forms part of Lucinity’s growth strategy.

Lucinity, an anti-money laundering (AML) and compliance software company, has hired Hjörtur Líndal Stefánsson as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this newly created senior role, he will oversee the firm’s technology and software strategy and help Lucinity grow and scale with its customers.

Hjörtur Líndal Stefánsson returns to Iceland after working in North America for the past eight years. His 17-year industry experience is rooted in leading the design and implementation of distributed systems at scale, capable of processing billions of transactions daily for millions of customers. Most recently, he spent six years at Amazon where he led the team responsible for video advertisement delivery for all Amazon-owned & operated publishers, such as Prime Video, Twitch, and IMDB. Before Amazon, he spent several years as a software engineer for various companies such as Ubisoft and CCP Games, building key software and enabling exciting businesses to grow.

At Lucinity, Hjörtur Líndal Stefánsson will join the leadership team and be responsible for the company’s long-term technology strategy and engineering team. His priority is to ensure that Lucinity continues to provide customers a high-performance compliance software that is scalable and easy to integrate.
