KYND Strengthens US Insurance Offer With Strategic Senior Hire

Cyber risk intelligence company KYND has announced a new senior appointment to its US team as it continues to grow its client base and provide deeper insight into SME cyber risk for the insurance market.

Aaron Aanenson joins KYND as Head of Insurance, North America, and will lead its insurance strategy across the US. Aaron will work with insurer clients and brokers to ensure KYND supports fast and accurate underwriting decisions and clearer portfolio oversight, as well as helping cyber insurers to unlock growth amongst the SME market.

With more than 18 years’ experience spanning cybersecurity consulting, management consulting and insurance, including Bitsight and S-RM, he brings a deep understanding of cyber risk and an informed, practitioner-led perspective to product direction.

Aaron said: “I’ve focussed my career on helping the nascent cyber insurance market grow – primarily supporting cyber underwriters to better understand the risk so they could more confidently grow their business.

“I am looking forward to making an impact at a company which is totally insurance-focused. KYND’s platform was built to serve carriers and brokers and that clarity of purpose creates a strong foundation for long-term partnership in the US market.”

A core part of Aaron’s role will be building relationships with clients and ensuring that cyber insurance carriers and their brokers’ needs directly inform KYND’s strategic priorities and guide its product development, in shaping the future of cyber risk management.

Andy Thomas, CEO and co-founder of KYND, said: “The US is a critical market for cyber insurance innovation and growth. Aaron’s combination of hands-on experience working directly with insurers and cybersecurity expertise makes him ideally placed to strengthen our presence.

“As insurers look to unlock the significant SME cyber opportunity, they need tools that provide clarity across both individual risks and entire portfolios. Aaron will play a central role in ensuring we deliver exactly that.”

KYND supports insurers worldwide, transforming complex cyber risk data into clear, actionable insight. Its unique technology provides instant visibility of cyber exposure and continuous monitoring, helping insurers and businesses manage evolving cyber threats with greater confidence.
