At Money20/20 Europe in Amsterdam, FF News’ Douglas Mackenzie sat down for a conversation with Kate Henry-Foord, Conversion Optimisation Specialist at PPRO. PPRO provide digital payments infrastructure to businesses and banks so they can scale all their services through one connection.

“I think often [merchants] take a one size fits all approach. Especially if they’re maybe used to people paying with cards. They kind of view all the payment methods as very similar to that, whereas actually they really need to tailor it more.”

“Some payment methods are held QR codes, others maybe redirect to the consumer’s bank and it’s just very confusing for the payer, especially if they’re maybe using a payment method for the first time. So, they really do little things like for example by adding a description explaining what the next step is, they’ve seen that increased conversion rate by plus 20%”
