Introducing Finigree, a Company that Secures Consumer Financial Data

An Omaha software company that specializes in securing financial data for individuals and businesses has a new name. Finigree, formerly ATS Secured, is a financial technology (fintech) company that partners with banks and businesses to protect financial data as it is stored, used and shared.

Finigree co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Wes Miller said the new name better reflects the company’s capabilities and mission.

“We wanted to come up with a name that really encapsulates the technology we’ve created,” said Miller, who co-founded the company in 2011. “When you break down our name, ‘Fin’ is because we’re a fintech company; the ‘i’ represents the individual, who should own and control their information because data is money; and ‘gree’ represents the agreement between parties in every financial transaction.”

Finigree’s platform aggregates an individual’s data and creates a single identity, protecting the information and moving it quickly and securely as needed.

Consumers are growing leery about the authenticity of their data and are concerned about where it sits and who can access it. Finigree’s proprietary platform makes it faster for consumers to create financial data, then safely stores it and allows individuals and businesses to control their data.

Fintech experts have recognized the power of Finigree’s platform. Twice in the last month Finigree won national pitch events for fintech companies.

Finigree was one of 10 finalists chosen to compete in the Fintech Startup Showcase at the #PAY Symposium where it won the Audience Choice Award.

Miller and Finigree then won the Innovator’s pitch event for the California Association of Realtors.

“We’re in the business of helping individuals take control of their data, and we were honored to have fintech experts validate the work we’re doing to empower consumers,” Miller said.
