Transamerica to Modernize the Life Insurance Claims Experience With Swiss Re’s Promiseˣᵖ

As part of the broader transformation underway across its life insurance business, Transamerica is collaborating with Swiss Re — a leading global reinsurer with deep claims expertise — to modernize the life insurance claims experience.

Focused on improving the experience for beneficiaries, the initiative reflects Transamerica’s commitment to making the claims process simpler, clearer and more supportive during moments of loss and transition. Working with Swiss Re, Transamerica aims to reduce friction in the claims process, improve clarity at critical moments and give claims professionals better tools to deliver timely, compassionate support. The initial rollout of the new claims experience is expected by the end of the year.

“Life insurance exists to support families during some of the most difficult moments in their lives,” said Will Fuller, Transamerica’s president and CEO. “Improving the claims experience is one of the most meaningful ways we can fulfill that promise. By modernizing our claims capabilities, we’re removing friction from the process — enhancing client engagement and enabling our claims professionals to provide more focused, thoughtful support.”

Enabling a simpler, customer-centric claims experience

Life insurance claims are often filed during periods of uncertainty, when families are navigating important next steps. As part of this effort, Transamerica will leverage Swiss Re’s technology to modernize how claims are submitted, managed and communicated. Digital capabilities are intended to support easier claim intake, clearer case management and more consistent decision making across the claims process — helping beneficiaries move forward with greater confidence while allowing claims professionals to focus their time and care where it matters most.

By reducing manual steps and repetitive tasks, claims professionals can devote more attention to complex situations that require judgment and care. For beneficiaries, clearer communication and easier ways to submit information can help make a difficult process more manageable during an emotional time.

“Transamerica’s decision to collaborate with Swiss Re to implement our PromiseXP claims platform reflects a shared commitment to delivering excellence in risk management and customer experience,” said Neil Sprackling, CEO Life & Health Re U.S. at Swiss Re. “At its core, this collaboration reflects a strong foundation of trust to deliver meaningful outcomes at scale. We deeply value the confidence placed in us, and we are proud to support Transamerica on this important transformation journey to help reshape the future of claims.”

Part of Transamerica’s broader life insurance transformation

The collaboration with Swiss Re is part of Transamerica’s broader effort to strengthen experiences across the life insurance journey — advancing its underlying infrastructure and making it easier for agents to help more families more efficiently and with more care.

Across its life insurance business, Transamerica is focused on practical, customer-centered improvements that support clarity, efficiency and compassion. To learn more about Transamerica’s life insurance offerings, speak with your financial representative or visit transamerica.com.
