SageSure Selects Ecopia AI’s Building-Based Geocoding to Enhance Location Intelligence
Today, Ecopia AI (Ecopia) announces that SageSure has selected Ecopia’s Building-Based Geocoding to help support high-precision location intelligence across its portfolio. SageSure, one of the largest managing general underwriters focused on catastrophe-exposed markets, will now be able to leverage the power of artificial intelligence (AI) for high quality geocoding and location intelligence.
A leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, SageSure is dedicated to providing highly rated, reliable property insurance where it’s needed most. Ecopia’s Building-Based Geocoding, the most precise rooftop-level geocoding solution on the market, will support SageSure with accurate location identification for underwriting, risk assessment, claims management, and more.
Conventional geocoding methods often rely on street- or parcel centroid-level geocodes, which can lead to inaccuracies when attempting to precisely determine building locations. Ecopia’s Building-Based Geocoding is created from the only complete database of US building footprints. Generated directly from high-resolution aerial and satellite imagery and updated each year, Ecopia’s Building-Based Geocoding produces highly accurate rooftop-level geocodes, building footprints, and parcel boundaries for over 173 million buildings across the United States. A comprehensive system of unique identifiers connects these entities to 240 million primary and secondary addresses to accurately reflect property relationships.
“SageSure is committed to delivering exceptional quoting experiences for our producers, empowering them to meet the complex insurance needs of homeowners and small businesses in challenging markets,” said Paul VanderMarck, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at SageSure. “We are excited to incorporate Ecopia’s comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date geocoding solution into our market-leading quoting platform to further enhance the producer experience and enable accurate property coordinates for every policy.”
“We are thrilled to collaborate with SageSure as they continue their vital work of ensuring access to high-quality, cost-competitive property insurance solutions in underserved communities across America,” said Jon Lipinski, Co-founder and President of Ecopia. “SageSure’s innovative approach to addressing property insurance needs in catastrophe-exposed markets aligns with Ecopia’s own commitment to innovation, and we are proud to support them with high-precision geospatial data to enhance operations.”
