Goboony and Swiss Re’s iptiQ launch tailored insurance solution for motorhome owners
Goboony, Europe’s largest camper sharing platform and iptiQ today announced the launch of a new digital insurance solution tailored to the specific needs of motorhome owners. The new product is first being rolled out in Goboony’s home market, the Netherlands, and the two companies are planning to expand their offering into other European markets in the coming years.
Founded in 2015, Goboony provides motorhome owners with an online platform to rent out their campers. It operates in the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, Germany, France and Italy with currently more than 30,000 motorhomes on its platform – which makes it the largest of its kind in Europe.
Through direct customer feedback on its peer-to-peer rental platform and by conducting a focused survey in its community, Goboony has gathered valuable insights regarding motorhome owners’ specific needs when it comes to insurance – for instance related to roadside assistance or coverage for inventories. The newly launched product addresses such special customer needs, including replacement vehicles or accommodation in case of an incident.
Powered by iptiQ’s deep risk knowledge and technological capabilities, it is designed to make insuring campers as easy and affordable as possible. Following the successful go-live in the Netherlands, Goboony and iptiQ are planning to jointly enter additional motorhome markets in Europe by leveraging this highly scalable end-to-end insurance platform.
Mark de Vos, CEO of Goboony, said: “Proper insurance coverage means peace of mind, and we are very pleased that we can now offer this innovative product that meets motorhome owners’ requirements. Thanks to iptiQ’s expertise in seamlessly embedding its digital insurance solutions into online platforms, we are able to provide a state-of-the-art customer experience.”
Andreas Schertzinger, Regional Market Executive of iptiQ EMEA, said: “We are delighted to partner with Goboony in this dynamic market segment. Goboony’s direct access to first-hand insights from its active community helps us translate their feedback into product features that are tailored to the needs of campers. This is a great example of how our B2B2C model works in real life.”
