ClearScore Partners With vast:visibility to Help People Save Money on Car Insurance
ClearScore, one of the UK’s leading credit marketplaces, today announced a new partnership with vast:visibility to give users access to over 70 car insurance brands allowing them to search for cheaper premiums. With a core business providing access to credit cards and loans (ClearScore), plus one of the UK’s leading insurtech brands (DriveScore), the ClearScore marketplace has increasingly been expanding to include a wider range of financial services products to help people save money, notably car finance and car insurance. At a time when many people are looking to reduce their monthly outgoings, ClearScore has been building its panel of car insurance providers, both via the ClearScore and DriveScore apps.
The vast:visibility panel of car insurance providers, including brands such as Aviva and Ageas, gives ClearScore users significantly more choice of cover and adds to existing partnerships that ClearScore has with the likes of Admiral, Hastings, OneCall, Sterling and others. This increases the options for ClearScore and DriveScore’s 14m UK users looking to save money on car insurance premiums.
Andrew Hooks, VP Cars at The ClearScore Group, said: “With car insurance prices going up across the UK and hitting consumers in the wallet, we’re seeing great appetite from ClearScore and DriveScore users to shop around for a better deal. Having the very best range of offers available to show them is therefore essential to help them save money. To that end, we’re delighted to be working with vast:visibility to add its panel of insurance partners to those already available on DriveScore and ClearScore. vast:visibility has a great technical platform and strong commercial relationships across the insurance industry, and we look forward to partnering with the team not only on the initial integration, but also to bring the benefits of telematics-enabled pricing to more and more consumers in the future.”
DriveScore is a free app from The ClearScore Group which helps good drivers save money on their car insurance through telematics technology. Launched in 2021, DriveScore was created to help good drivers better understand their driving behaviour and save them money in the process. The app allows users to privately record their driving behaviour and use that data to prove they are good drivers and secure lower premiums. It is the first proposition to deploy telematics data for rating purposes at point-of-quote rather than post-sale and has a potentially transformative effect on improving risk-pricing accuracy. Earlier this year, DriveScore integrated with the CDL insurtech ecosystem in a move which enabled CDL partners to access new data to improve risk pricing accuracy at the point of quote.
John Worthington, CEO of vast:visibility, said: “We are proud to partner with ClearScore to enhance the car insurance offering for their customers. We are combining ClearScore’s exceptional brand and connection with its users with vast:visibility’s leading insurance price comparison technology and experience in the UK insurance market. Bringing the two companies together will help ClearScore and DriveScore users to find the right insurance for them, while the innovative use of driving behaviour data adds an opportunity for customers to save money which is not available elsewhere. I look forward to the partnership going from strength to strength as we continue to grow the number of car insurance providers on the panel while embedding DriveScore data into the insurance buying journey.
As well as boosting car insurance options for users, ClearScore also recently launched ‘Car Loan Switcher’ a car re-finance proposition to make it easy for users to compare their finance options and to see if they could save by switching.
