Appointment of Roland Bryan as CEO of Ding

Ding, the world’s leading platform for delivering and receiving prepaid mobile value across the globe, today announced the appointment of Roland Bryan as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Roland joins Ding with extensive leadership experience in the technology and digital commerce sectors, with a strong track record in consumer marketing, product development and digital commerce, having successfully guided high-growth businesses through major phases of technological and commercial transformation.

As CEO of Ding, Roland will be responsible for shaping and driving the company’s strategic direction, working closely with the executive team to accelerate growth and build on its powerful global technology platform to expand Ding’s global reach. Ding enables more than 60m transactions every year, connecting more than 17m receivers across 160 countries. Its secure, scalable infrastructure powers instant transfers that help people stay connected and supported across borders.

Roland brings deep experience in scaling consumer-facing businesses like Ding. Most recently, Roland served as CEO of Wowcher, growing the business from a start-up to one of the world’s leading promotional marketplaces. Over more than a decade, he steered Wowcher through rapid technological change, building innovative customer propositions and ensuring the business thrived in a highly competitive digital landscape. Prior to this, Roland held senior leadership roles at DMGT’s digital division, Virgin Media and at OC&C Strategy Consultants. Roland is a graduate of the University of Oxford.

Roland will also continue in his current role as Chairperson of Excalibur Group, the parent company of Wowcher, LivingSocial, and 5PM.
