Gazprombank and Silkroad Goldenbridge Capital signed a co-investment agreement
Gazprombank and Silkroad Goldenbridge Capital Management Company Limited have signed an agreement in respect of China-Russia Development Fund Co-Investment Platform. The document was signed by the Chairman of the Gazprombank’s Management Board Andrey Akimov and the Chairman of Shenzhen Kunpeng Equity Investment Management Co., Ltd. Mr. Peng, Honglin.
The parties agreed to jointly establish the Chinese Fund and the Russian Fund with a total size up to the equivalent of 1 bln US Dollars. Both Funds will act as one platform dedicated to realize private equity investments in Russia, CIS countries and Greater China Area. The Funds will have the same investment strategy and objectives and will invest along each other on the same terms.
Silkroad Goldenbridge Capital Management Company Limited is a joint venture company. One of its shareholders is Shenzhen Kunpeng Equity Investment Management Co., Ltd. (“Kunpeng”). Kunpeng, established in June 2016 by Shenzhen Municipal Committee and Shenzhen Municipal Government, is a strategic fund management platform especially to support the reform of state-owned enterprises and manage strategic development funds.
The Parties have noted that the agreement opens a new page in the history of longstanding cooperation between Shenzhen companies and Gazprombank. The parties’ joint efforts will definitely give impetus to the development of selective industries of Russian and Chinese economies and will be among the factors supporting growth of Russian-Chinese cooperation.
