Spendesk Awarded ISO 27001:2022 Certification for the Security of Its Services
Spendesk, the complete spend management platform, announces it has been awarded the International Standards Organisation (ISO) 27001:2022 certification for the security of its services.
The ISO 27001:2022 is one of the most widely recognised international standards for information security. As a company operating in the financial services sector — where this security is vital for both customer protection and to comply with regulators — this certification reinforces Spendesk’s commitment to maintain the highest levels of security, innovation, and reliability.
The certification is independent proof that Spendesk meets a recognised market standard; guaranteeing trust, transparency, and optimal security across all of its services. It is also an important marker for the company’s commitment to safeguarding sensitive customer data to ensure business continuity. In addition, this certification will streamline the process of providing proof of information security to Spendesk’s customers.
To achieve certification, Spendesk underwent an exhaustive audit of its information systems, policies, procedures and processes, which took more than a year to complete. The company successfully met requirements for implementing, maintaining and continually improving its information security management systems. As part of this process, Spendesk implemented around 200 control items monitored daily by its team.
“Maintaining utmost security has always been core to Spendesk, and we are delighted that our commitment to rigorous controls and procedures across the entirety of our services has been recognised with the ISO 27001:2022 certification,” said Yves Auger, Head of Security at Spendesk. “While this is not seen as an end in itself, it reinforces a process of continuous improvement, allowing us to deliver excellent customer service with the highest level of security and transparency for all of our users.”
While the certification offers a streamlined process and accurate implementation of standards through third-party verification, there will be no visible changes for Spendesk customers.
