Revolut launches Joint Savings accounts in the UK, enabling couples to save together and earn up to 4.5% AER daily interest with FSCS protection and secure, shared budgeting tools.

Revolut Launches Joint Savings Accounts As Demand for Shared Money Tools Soars

Revolut, the global fintech with over 11 million customers in the UK, has launched Joint Savings accounts, giving couples a new way to grow their money together. The new feature — Revolut’s most-requested by existing customers — allows couples to earn up to 4.5% AER, with interest paid daily.

The launch comes as Revolut research highlights a shift towards financial openness in relationships. Nearly three-quarters (71%) of Brits feel comfortable discussing money with their partner, while two in five (39%) believe joint accounts are the best way to manage shared expenses.

There are no fees, and Joint Account holders receive matching physical and virtual cards (Apple Pay and Google Pay compatible), exclusive designs, and dedicated Pockets to budget and save together. Savings are protected up to £85,000 per depositor through the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) via ClearBank Limited, while Revolut also offers state-of-the-art security features including Wealth Protection, a biometric identification tool that shields savings from fraudsters.

The interest rate on Joint Savings accounts is based on the account holders’ Revolut plans, with the rate matching the lower of the two plan tiers.

  • Standard – 3.5% AER (variable)

  • Plus – 3.5% AER (variable)

  • Premium – 3.75% AER (variable)

  • Metal – 4.0% AER (variable)

  • Ultra – 4.50% AER (variable)
