Metro Bank Introduces New 31-Month Fee Free Business Current Account
The Metro Bank Business Current Account now has no monthly fees for 31 months, which is a big reason for small and medium-sized businesses to switch. This fee-free SME banking program is meant to help small businesses get better access to financial services during the important early years.
Metro Bank has launched a new market leading offer for SMEs looking to switch their business bank account, with 31-months of fee-free banking1.
Metro Bank’s business current account is eligible for start-ups, sole traders and limited companies with up to £2m turnover a year.
Eligible Business Customers who complete a full CASS switch to Metro Bank will receive no monthly maintenance fee, no transaction charges, fee free cash paid in, out and exchanged up to £10,000 per month and no minimum balance requirements1. Customers will also have access to an enhanced savings rate on a Business Instant Access Account.
Businesses wanting to switch to Metro Bank can open their account online or in store and complete their switch by visiting one of the bank’s 76 stores.
This new Metro Bank Business Current Account targets entrepreneurs looking for cost-effective, transparent business banking solutions.
Kerry Reynolds, Director of Retail and Business Banking at Metro Bank: “We know that businesses value face-to-face time with their bank. Every Metro Bank business customer receives a named local business manager, based in their closest store. They understand the complexities of running a business in that area and the pressures facing small business in all areas of the country. We’re backing UK businesses and our business current account offer means SMEs can focus on running and growing their business, experiencing our highly rated customer service and support as well as access to our online and mobile banking app.”
Metro Bank offers relationship banking, putting in-person customer experience at the forefront of its service and offers the longest Saturday opening hours of any high street bank. It is known for its customer service and is consistently recognised in the CMA’s customer satisfaction tables, scoring highly for in-store service for business customers3.
Metro Bank now has 76 stores across the country after opening in Chester earlier this month. The bank also plans to open two more this year in Gateshead and Salford. Each store has a dedicated local business manager to support businesses.
With the Metro Bank Business Current Account now offering 31 months fee-free, SMEs have a valuable opportunity to simplify banking and reduce operational costs.
