Leeds Building Society Partners with AND Digital to Upskill Developers for New Core Banking Platform
Leeds Building Society (LBS) has partnered with AND Digital to deliver a bespoke training programme aimed at upskilling and reskilling its developers to transition to a new core banking platform.
AND Digital played a core role in boosting LBS productivity through a carefully designed training programme to equip developers with the skills needed to meet modern technological demands through a training programme that ran from June 2024 to October 2024.
This collaboration has enhanced the technical expertise of LBS workforce to ensure they are equipped to meet the rapidly evolving demands of the financial services industry and to preserve critical in-house business intelligence.
As LBS prepares to adopt the new platform, the demand for skilled developers has increased, with older technologies becoming less relevant.
LBS has sought to empower its teams with the necessary skills to stay integral to the organisation’s continued success and maintain a deep understanding of business processes and customer needs.
By applying their newly acquired skills in live projects, LBS developers are now delivering results faster and more efficiently than before. This focus on real-world application has enabled the teams to take on more complex tasks while maintaining high standards, ultimately contributing to better organisational outcomes.
Jay Patel Chief Technology Officer at Leeds Building Society expanded on the partnership: “At Leeds Building Society, investing in our people is essential to delivering value to our members and communities. Our partnership with AND Digital ensures our developers have the skills to not only enhance our technical capabilities but to stay agile, innovative and competitive while maintaining our community’s needs.”
AND Digital also ensured a seamless transition to the new Core Banking platform by preparing LBS developers to handle evolving technologies and optimise resource allocation to reduce reliance on external talent and maintain organisational continuity.
With the Leeds Building Society AND Digital initiative, both organisations are speeding up their digital maturity and giving teams the power to decide how banking technology will look in the future.
