Instamo launches Intermediary Portal API for Mortgage Applications
Instamo, a new FinTech Startup, has launched an Intermediary Portal API — enabling lenders to give brokers a fast, digital way to submit mortgage applications in just a few clicks, without the need to rebuild existing systems.
Just as Chrome Autofill makes web forms easier to complete, Instamo’s Autofill engine maps structured application data into lender portals. The new Lender Portal API exposes this capability, allowing lenders to instantly transform their existing portal into a secure, standards-based API endpoint.
Every submission begins with a logged-in advisor and runs transparently on-screen. As they watch, Instamo automation validates, extracts, and translates the data into the correct lender-native fields. All data is encrypted end-to-end and accessible only to the originating firm. The system is designed to respect both regulatory requirements and lender-specific platform rules — giving lenders confidence that automation enhances, rather than bypasses, existing controls.
Director – Freddie Savundra comments: “Building an API that mirrors your lender portal—replicating every validation, dependency, and exception path—is incredibly complex and costly. That’s in part why it’s taken so long for mainstream lenders to bring a solution to market. Instamo’s Lender Portal API sidesteps that: it wraps your existing portal and turns it into an API, effectively overnight. Brokers get the efficiency of direct connectivity and zero re-keying, while lenders avoid the cost, risk, and disruption of a full rebuild. It’s the bridge between today’s infrastructure and tomorrow’s expectations.”
