HSBC Appoints Jessica O’Brien as New GTRF Global Chief Growth Officer

HSBC has announced the appointment of Jessica O’Brien as the Chief Growth Officer for its Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF) division.

Having been at the bank for the past 19 years, Jessica has worked in roles based in the US, UK, and Hong Kong, including as the Head of Wholesale Portfolio Management for Europe. She brings extensive experience in relationship management and wholesale credit risk.

As Chief Growth Officer, Jessica will focus on driving forward global mandates and structured trade for the bank, as well as strengthening and delivering on the emphasis the bank is placing on partnering with its clients to develop innovative solutions.

Jessica will join GTRF in the late summer and replaces Vinay Mendonca, who was recently appointed CEO of the bank’s new joint venture, which will develop and commercialise embedded finance solutions.
