Credit Karma Announces Charity Challenge to Grow the Nation’s Credit Scores

Intuit Credit Karma has announced the launch of its 25 Million Point Challenge, inspiring its members to collectively grow their scores by 25 million points this year.

The smart money app will celebrate members’ progress over 12 months with a donation of £50,000, split between three financial charities – Family Action, National Debtline, and Turn2Us.

To take part in the challenge, members just have to log into their Credit Karma account and check their credit score twice a month to contribute towards the target.

Intuit Credit Karma recently launched its new Credit Build Plus product, which allows members  to grow their credit score with an interest-free credit account. Costing just £2.50 a week, the product helps members build a positive payment history with manageable deposits.

To mark the 25 million point increase, Intuit Credit Karma will donate £50,000 to the three charities, which are each dedicated to supporting people experiencing financial hardship.

Akansha Nath, general manager (international) at Intuit Credit Karma, said: “Taking steps to improve your credit score is always a good idea, and by introducing our 25 Million Point Challenge, we’re hoping to inspire our members to take control of their score and drive real change, not just for themselves but for communities in need.

“We’re proud to support Family Action, National Debtline, and Turn2Us in their vital work, and excited to see the difference we can all make over the next year.”
