Fintech Unicorn, PPRO appoints Cognito to raise the brand’s profile across Europe amidst accelerated growth
Cognito has been appointed by PPRO, the leading global provider of digital payments infrastructure, to further expand the brand’s profile across the European financial technology market. PPRO is leveraging Cognito’s European offices to develop a strategic, communications campaign to position PPRO as the digital payments partner of choice.
In early 2021, PPRO achieved a milestone valuation and became a unicorn after securing £132 million in funding from prestigious investors, including Eurazeo Growth and Sprints Capital. As the go-to digital payments experts on a significant global expansion journey, they needed an integrated communications consultancy with a deep understanding of the payments industry to take the business to the next level.
PPRO globalises payment platforms for businesses, allowing them to offer more choice at the point of checkout and boost cross-border sales. Payment service providers, enterprises, fintechs and banks that run on PPRO’s infrastructure are able to launch payment methods faster, optimise checkout conversions, and reduce the complexities of managing multiple fund flows.
Elke Woessner-Probst, VP, Global Marketing and Communications at PPRO, said: “Cognito was the obvious choice for us. It’s an exciting time for the payments industry, and we needed a communications partner that not only has expertise in the UK payments landscape, but also the necessary capabilities to propel PPRO forward on a European level. We’re delighted that they’re officially part of our team and are helping us to communicate PPRO’s brand message to our European audiences.”
Paul Bowhay, Director at Cognito, said: “This exciting new partnership comes at an exceptionally important time in their growth trajectory, as they continue to make waves in shaping the future of borderless e-commerce. We look forward to providing PPRO with the support they need to further elevate their brand in the global payments landscape with a seamless and effective communications strategy.”
