FinTech Startup Competition Launched by Japan’s NTT Data – Applications Open

Innovate Finance member NTT DATA has just launched its 5th annual Open Innovation Business contest. For the first time, this competition has been opened up to the global community, with preliminary contests taking place in 10 cities across the globe, including London.

Any startup company is welcomed to submit a proposal for a venture business in fields such as FinTech, IoT, energy, InsurTech, big data, digital marketing, blockchain, APIs, personal data, AI, cyber security, virtual/augmented reality or robotics.

The NTT Group, NTT DATA’s parent company and a Fortune 500 company, invests $1.8 billion annually in R&D and is recognised internationally as a leading innovator in business technology and communications across a wide range of industries.

Having recently ranked #5 in the 2016 IDC Financial Insights’ FinTech Top 100 and, as the first Japanese institutional member of Innovate Finance here in the UK, NTT DATA is particularly interested in innovative business ideas from the financial services community in London.

Entries must be submitted by 5 PMJanuary 4th, 2017, with the UK contest taking place in February 2017 in Canary Wharf. The winner of the contest will then be invited to the Grand Finale contest in Tokyo in March 2017.
