Fadata strengthens management team with new CFO

Fadata, a leading provider of advanced insurance technology solutions, has bolstered its leadership team with the appointment of Tom Mullan as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  This is the second key management appointment it has made this year as part of its strategy to expand into new markets.

With nearly 15 years’ experience in high-growth multinational companies, mostly in the FinTech space, Tom has been brought in to build a strategic long-term commercial framework as well as a robust and transparent global corporate structure to support the business through its next phase of growth.

Tom joins from Guidewire, where he spent seven years in a high growth environment leading the EMEA accounting, commercial finance and administrative functions. His experience will be particularly pertinent to his role at Fadata as it builds new partnerships and expands into new territories. Previously Tom was at EY where he specialised in the audit of mid-market, high growth companies. He will be based in London and report directly into CEO John Macdonald.

John Macdonald, Chief Executive Officer of Fadata, said: “This is an exciting time for Fadata as we expand into the leading insurance markets. Tom’s InsurTech experience will be invaluable throughout our next phase of growth and he will be a great asset to our expanding leadership team. We are delighted to have him join us and are very much looking forward to working with him.”

Tom Mullan, Chief Financial Officer of Fadata, said: “Great things are happening at Fadata. It is encouraging to see how it is already building on its market-leading base across Eastern Europe and is beginning to win in Western insurance markets where established technology brands are already strong. I’m very pleased to be joining John and the rest of the Fadata team.”

Fadata is one of the few organizations to offer advanced software solutions for Life, General, and Health insurance.  The INSIS product has been ranked leader in the Gartner’s Magic Quadrant 2015 for the fourth successive year.  It has also recently won two consecutive XCelent in Technology awards for its life and health systems from Celent.
