eg solutions hosts Masterclass in Back Office Planning and Forecasting
The pioneer of the back office workforce optimisation software market, eg solutions, has announced a special Masterclass focused on overcoming the complexities of Back Office Planning and Forecasting
Hosted in conjunction with The Forum, champions of best practice and professional development in customer contact, the event is being held at The Studio in Central Birmingham on 12th and 13th September.
The interactive Masterclass event will provide the opportunity for organisations across sectors, and verticals within sectors, to come together to share existing challenges and learn from industry thought leadership and best practice experiences.
Elizabeth Gooch, CEO of eg, commented: “Historically back office forecasting has been completed using a complex array of spreadsheets and a similar approach to front office forecasting, where historical completed volumes are used as the basis for future forecasts.
“This approach can prove costly, compromising the accuracy of forecasts as the use of completed volumes can incorporate hand-offs, rework and failure demand; activities that can inflate supply calculations.”
Over the two days the Masterclass promises to benefit Back Office Planners in organisations across a wide variety of market sectors; enabling them to come together to learn from industry thought leaders and from best practice experiences; including:
· Identifying the differences between front and back offices
· Long term planning verses day-to-day operational plans
· Weekly and daily waterfall model
· The Back Office Maturity Model
· Understanding ROI and value
· Engaging the operation and key stakeholders.
During a simulator challenge, attendees will also have the opportunity to learn how eg solutions can deliver significant and guaranteed operational performance improvements and return on investment within just 20 weeks of implementation.
Elizabeth continued: “We are seeing the emergence of mobile workforce optimisation, with forecasting becoming fully Cloud based. As more and more employees are becoming multi-skilled, forecasting will continue to develop further in order to take into account emerging channels.
“Over this two-day event we will clearly define the differences between Front and Back Office forecasting, as well as other areas within organisations that are demand-driven or require staffing profiles. By joining forces with The Forum we aim to demonstrate the importance of improved forecasting models that need to be developed to take into account the longer service levels required for back office processes,” added Elizabeth.
